Rothrock 1937-1998 James C. Rothrock, age 61, died Sunday, November 29,1998, at his home in Westview following an ill-ness. Bom in Pike County, IN, Mr. Rothrock was a son of the late Jack and Abigail Davis Rothrock. He was disabled, a heavy equipment opera-tor and truck driver, a member of Rhodes Memorial United Method-ist Church and the Breckinridge County Moose Lodge. He was pre-ceded in death by a brother, Jack Rothrock, and a sister, Imogene Crider. Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Vonnie Laslie Rothrock; a daugh-ter, LaChiel Thompson, Bowling Green; two sisters, Bonnie Gail Frederick, Chandler, IN, and Dodie Faye Myers, Goodlettsville, TN; a brother, Patrick Rothrock, Custer, and one grandchild. Services were held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, December 2, from Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Har-dinsburg, with burial in Kingswood Cemetery. The family requests expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the James Rothrock Memorial Fund in care of the fu-neral home. Herman Allen Heath 1937-1998 Herman Alien Heath, age 61, of Hardinsburg, died Sunday, Novem-ber 30 at LaGrange, following an illness. Born in Breckinridge County, Mr. Heath was a son of the late Henry and Ressie Smith Heath. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Heath and Henry Heath, Jr. Surviving are a son, Ronnie Heath, Hardinsburg; two daughters, Libby Heath, Henderson, and Theresa Allen, Hudson; two sisters, Juanita Carman and Ann Shaw, both of Hardinsburg; a brother, Charles Heath, Hawesville; and three grand-children. There was no visitation. Burial was in Ivy Hill Cemetery under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg. Private services will be held at a later date. Mrs. Beatrice Tinsley 1906-1998 Mrs. Beatrice "Bea" Hartfield Tinsley, age 92, of Irvington, for-merly of Green County, died Wednesday, November 25,1998, at Medco Center of Brandenburg, fol-lowing a lengthy illness. Born June 18, 1906, in Green County, Mrs. Tinsley was a daughter of the late William Thomas Hall and Louella Milby. She was a homemaker, a member of the Rosetta United Meth-odist Church and the Custer Order of Eastern Star #456. Mrs. Tinsley. was preceded in death by a son, Charles Hall in 1929, and a daugh-ter, Betty Ray, in 1996. Survivors include a son, William Robert Hartfield, Cambridge, OH; a sister, Katherine Chaudion, Summersville; five grandchildren, Sonda Corn well, Mark Ray and Wilma Ray, all of Irvington, Cheryl Biery, IL, and Andrea Hartfield,GA. Five great-grandchildren also survive. The funeral was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 28 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home, Irvington, with the Rev. John Bruington, pastor of the Rosetta United Methodist Church, officiat-ing. Burial was in the Hudson-Hall Cemetery in Summersville. Michael Alien Embry 1966-1998 Michael Alien Embry, 32-year-old Fairdale resident, formerly of Hawesville, died Wednesday, No-vember 25, 1998, as a result of inju-ries received in an accident on Hwy. 60 west of Irvington. Born in Tell City, IN, on June 26, 1966, Mr. Embry was the son of Collins and Joyce Sadler Embry of Hawesville. He was a student at Boyce Seminary in Louisville, a graduate of Hancock County High School, an Air Force veteran, and was a member and youth minister at Auburndale Baptist Church in Louisville. Surviving other man his parents is his wife, Mrs. Laura Creech Embry; three brothers, Ronald Embry, Scott Embry and John Embry, all of Hawesville; and a sister, Rita VanWinkle, Hawesville. Funeral services were conducted at 1 p.m. Monday, November 30 from the Auburndale Baptist Church with burial in Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Reid 1912-1998 Mrs. Thelma Haffey Reid, age 86, of Louisville, died Saturday, November 28, 1998, in the Hospice unit of the Alliant Hospital, Louisville. Mrs. Reid was a native of Cloverport, the daughter of the late JoJin Andrew and Margaret L. Pate Haffey. She was a retired credit clerk with the old Kaufman Straus Department Store and the old Stewart's Department Store in Louisville, a member of Crescent Hill United Methodist Church, theUnited Methodist Women and the Methodist Hospital Auxiliary. Survivors include her husband, LaFayette L. Reid; a son James L. Reid, Sr., London; a daughter, Vir-ginia R. Lund, Indian Head, MD; three grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter. Services were held at 10 a.m. Monday, November 30 at Arch L. Heady-Cralle Funeral Home in Louisville. Burial was in Cloverport Cemetery with a graveside service being held there. Leander C. Bruner 1912-1998 Leander C. Bruner, an 86-year-old resident of Cloverport, died Saturday. November 28,1998, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital; Hardinsburg. Mr. Bruner was born January 12, 1912, in Hancock County. He was a member of the Cloverport United Methodist Church where he served as Sunday school superintendent for many years, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Survivors are a son, Griffen Bruner of Papillion, NE; three daughters, Amelia Carpenter or Versailles, Mary Chancellor of Clay, and Charmaine Bruner of Cloverport; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Services were held at l p.m. Tuesday, December 1 from Wallace Funeral Home, Cloverport, with the Rev. Jim Finch officiating. Burial was in Cloverport Cemetery. Mrs. Ruth Bertschman 1915-1998 Mrs. Ruth Bertschman, age 83. of Hardinsburg, died Wednesday, November 25, 1998, at Medco Center of Hardinsburg. Born in Nebraska, Mrs. Bertschman was a daughter of the late James Richard and Ethel Yardley Sanders. She was a home- maker and a member of the New Bethel Baptist Church. Her husband, Leroy J. Bertschman, preceded her in death on July 20,1998, Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, John and Martha Bertschman, Hardinsburg; a daughter and son-in-law, Diana and Wayne Carwile, Hardinsburg; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Saturday, November 28 from the New Bethel Baptist Church with burial in the New Bethel Cemetery. Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, was in charge of arrangements.
