Moorman 1904-1999 Mrs. Sylvia Marguerite Moorman, age 94, of Hardinsburg, died Sunday, January 3, 1999, at Medco Center of Hardinsburg, following a lengthy illness. Born in Utica, IN, on January 15, 1904, Mrs. Moorman was a daughter of the late William and Ida Broy Hooper. She was a homemaker, and had been employed as head dietitian at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, and was a member of the Hardinsburg United Methodist Church. She was the widow of Cyrus Herndon Moorman, formerly of Harned, who passed away in 1954. Mrs. Moorman is survived by three daughters, Brucie M. Beard, Irvington, Marguerite "Cissy" Dowell, Henderson, and Pat Napier, Hardinsburg; three sons, Robert H. Moorman, Azle, TX, Kenneth E. Moorman, Louisville, and Cyrus Neil Moorman, Hardinsburg; 21 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Mary Hazel Thomas, and two brothers, Curtis Hooper and Thurman Hooper, all of Jeffersonville, IN. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 7 at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home in Hardinsburg, with burial in Ivy Hill Cemetery, Hardinsburg. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday and after 8 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Mrs. Margaret Raeber 1900-1998 Mrs. Margaret Biddle Raeber, age 98, died at Twin Lakes Medical Center, Leitchfield, on December 28, 1998. Mrs. Raeber was born in Breckinridge County. Her husband, Emil Raeber, a son, Henry Levesay and a daughter, Mildred Levesay Hall, preceded her in death. Surviving are three grandchildren, Marion Hall, Campbellsville, Alvin Hall, Elizabethtown, and Charollett Blankship [sic], Leitchfield; 15 great-grandchildren; and 29 great-great- grandchildren. Private graveside services were held at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville. Arch L. Heady & Son Funeral Home in Louisville was in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Mary Frances Jones 1913-1999 Mrs. Mary Frances Jones, an 86-year-old resident of Hardinsburg, died Sunday, January 3, 1999, at Breckinridge Memorial Nursing Facility in Hardinsburg. Mrs. Jones was born in Louisville, a daughter of the late Frank Joseph and Katie Schaubb Bayer. She was a home- maker and a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church. Her husband, Cliff Jones, Sr., and a grandson, Scott Jones, preceded her in death. Surviving are a daughter, Catherine "Kitty" Beauchamp, Falls of Rough; two sons, Frank Jones, Hardinsburg, and Cliff Jones, Jr., Louisville; 10 grandchildren; 18 great-grand- children; and a sister, Rita Bratcher, Louisville. Services were held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, January 5 from St. Anthony Catholic Church at Axtel, with burial in the St. Anthony Cemetery. Mrs. Mary Annaline Barnett 1913-1999 Mrs. Mary Annaline Barnett, age 85, of Owensboro, formerly of Breckinridge County, died Saturday, January 2, 1999, at Owensborg Mercy Health Systems. Mrs. Barnett was born April 19, 1913 in Breckinridge County, a daughter of the late Edward Goatley and Ella Wells Goatley. She was a member of the Cloverport Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jasper Barnett on May 3, 1979, and a son, Jasper Barnett, Jr. Survivors are five daughters, Doris Ella Payne, Maceo, Wilma Jean Peay, Owensboro, Joan Reynolds, Hawesville, Nelda Gay Frazier, Echols, and Salvation Army Capt. Donna Beatrice Stewart, Pascagoula, MS; a sister, Hazel Conrey, New Albany, IN; 12 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. The funeral was held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 6 from Wallace Funeral Home, Cloverport, with Capt. Charles Stewart officiating. Burial was in Cloverport Cemetery with grandsons acting as pallbearers. LeRoy Jarboe 1909-1999 LeRoy Jarboe, age 90, of Hardinsburg, died Saturday, January 2, 1999, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital. Born in Breckinridge County, Mr. Jarboe was a son of the late Charles and Clara Limer Jarboe. He was retired from the Breckinridge County Soil Conservation office, was a farmer, was on the Breckinridge County Extension Board, former president of the Breckinridge County Farm Bureau, a vocational agriculture teacher at Irvington School, and was a county agent in Appling County, GA. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Louise Smart Jarboe; a daughter, Linda Buchanan, Riverdale, IL; a son Ralph Jarboe, Huntsville, AL; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and a sister, Verbal Thompson, McDaniels. The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 7 from Trent-Dowell Funeral Home with burial in the Cloverport Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1 p.. Wednesday at the funeral home. January 20, 1999 Mrs. Leuna T. Lyddan Mrs. Leuna Tatham Lyddan of Louisville, died Tuesday, January 12, 1999, at Caritas Medical Center in Louisville. She was a native of Andrew, NC, and the widow of Dr. Pat Lyddan, a former resident of Breckinridge County. Mrs. Lyddan was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, past president of the Jefferson County Dental Society Auxiliary, a member of the Kenwood Hill Homemaker's Club and Audu- bon Country Club. Surviving are a son, Mike Lyddan, a daughter, Melissa Manna, aister, Olive Ellis, all of Louisville; and four grandchildren. Funeral services were held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 15,atPearson's Funeral Home in Louisville. Mrs. Emma Moore 1908-1999 Mrs. Emma Moore, age 90, of SeRee, died Tuesday, January 12, 1999, at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital in Hardinsburg. Born in Breckinridge County, Mrs. Moore was a daughter of the late Wavie and Ellen Harper. She was a homemaker and a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church. Mrs. Moore was preceded in death by a daughter, Imogene Decker, and sons, James Edward, Joseph McKinley, and Paul Moore. Survivors are a son. Ray Thomas Moore, SeRee; a daughter, Mary Phyllis Smiley, SeRee; four grand- children; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Bishop 1907-1999 Mrs. Zylpha Thompson Bishop, age 91, of Owensboro, formerly of Cloverport, died Sunday, January 10, 1999, at Riverside Manor Healthcare at Calhoun. Born July 2, 1907, in Irvine, KY, Mrs. Bishop was a daughter of the late Dode Thompson and Nealie Tuttle Thompson. She was a member of the Cloverport Baptist Church and had received Sunday school pins for 65 years of perfect attendance, and was retired from American Olean Tile Company. Her husband, Clarence E. Bishop, preceded her in death September 10, 1982. Survivors include a brother, Lester Thompson, Owensboro; two nieces, Mary Jolly, Hardinsburg, and Sally Phillips, Smith Mills; three nephews, Claude Lester Thompson, Owensboro, Harry Thompson, Evansville, IN, and Mac Thompson, Vero Beach, FL.
