OBITUARY
Stephensport, Ky  January 17th, 1894
     Died at her home, of brain fever, December 29, 1893, Miss Sudie C. 
ADKISSON, aged 22 years, 11 months, and 16 days.
     The subject of this most sad death and bereavement was the daughter of Mr. 
and Mrs. Allen ADKISSON.
     She professed faith in Christ, and united with the New Bethel Baptist 
Church at 20 years of age.  She was faithful unto her death, always occupying 
her seat in the choir.  She suffered a great deal during her sickness, yet bore 
it with Christian fortitude.  She was gentle, and of a loving disposition.  It 
was God's will to call her in the bloom of life, to that upper and better 
Kingdom, which he has prepared, to dwell with angels, where all sorrow and 
trouble will be o'er.
     Sudie was loved and admired by a large circle of friends, for her, many 
sterling and attractive qualities.  May father, mother, and sister grieve and 
weep no more.  Our devine Savior knows all things best.
     May her bereaved parents and her many friends so walk in the path of light 
that when God calls them from this earthly taber of clay, their spirits will be 
prepared to meet that loved one where parting will be no more.
