WILLIAM AHL ------- Stephensport, Nov. 30. (Special)- Mrs. William Ahl died at her home here on November 23 following an illness of only a brief time. Mrs. Ahl, who before her marriage, was Miss Martha Powers, was born in Breckinridge county, October 18, 1874. She was the daughter of the late C. C. and Mary Powers. During the year 1896 she was married to William Ahl, who survives with two daughters, Mrs. Owen M. Maysey of Cloverport; and Mrs. C. W. Gedling of Cannelton, Ind., also two sons, EarlAhl of Tobinsport, Ind., and James Ahl of Stephensport and a sister, Mrs. Carlt Black of Addison, and several grandchildren. During the pastorate of the Rev. S. L. C. Coward, Mrs. Ahl was converted and united with the Methodist Church, South, at this place. She lived a faithful member and regular attendant at church services. She was an exemplary christian and was a member of the Woman's Missionary Society. Mrs. Ahl was a devoted mother and was a good neighbor. The impressing funeral service was conducted Wednesday afternoon in the church of which she was a member, and was in charge of the pastor, the Rev. Charles Hall. A large crowd of relatives and friends attended the funeral and the burial service which was held in the Hill cemetery.
