OBITUARY

     Mrs. Evelyn Mae ALLEN, age 76, of Irvington, Ky in Breckinridge County, 
died on Thursday, April 21, 1988 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, 
Hardinsburg.  She was born in Stephensport, in Breclinridge County on July 22, 
1911, a daughter of the late Jeff and Kate McCOY TOMER.  She was a member of 
the the New Bethel Baptist Church, and Hites Run Homemakers Club.
She is survived by:
her husband, Joe ALLEN
five sons
one half-brother:
Pearl TOMER of Owensboro, Ky (Daviess County)
13 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.
     Funeral services were held on Saturday, April 23, 1988 from the Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.  Burial was in the Hensley Cemetery near 
Garfield.
