OBITUARY

     Joe ALLEN, an 84-year-old Route 1, Irvington, Ky resident in Breckinridge 
County, died on Wednesday, October 3, 1990 at Medco Center (Nursing Home) in 
Hardinsburg, following a lengthy illness.  Mr. ALLEN was born in Breckinridge 
County on March 25, 1906, a son of the late Charles ALLEN and Marcella 
ROBERTSON ALLEN.  He was a farmer, and a member of the Hites Run Baptist 
Church.  His wife, Mrs. Evelyn ALLEN, preceded him in death on April 21, 1988.
He is survived by:
five sons
one sister:
Mrs. Eliza ROBERTSON of Glen Dean, Ky (Breckinridge County)
13 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren
     The funeral was held on Saturday, October 6, 1990 from the chapel of the 
Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.  Burial was in the Hensley Cemetery.
