OBITUARY   

     Wavie ALLEN, a 57 year old Hudson resident of Breckinridge County, died at 
9:45 a.m. on Monday, March 27, 1978, at his home as a result of an accidental 
gunshot wound.  Officials said a shotgun discharged while Mr. ALLEN was climbing 
a fence.
     Mr. ALLEN was born February 26, 1921, the son of the late Lonnie and Bettie 
LUCAS ALLEN.  He was a self-employed farmer.  Surviving are:
his wife, Mrs. Mildred DODSON ALLEN
a daughter:
Mrs. Ruth Ann ELLIOTT of Hudson, Ky
three sons:
Ralph ALLEN of Hudson, Ky
Luther ALLEN of Hudson, Ky
Jerry Ray ALLEN of Valley Station, Ky (Jefferson County)
one sister:
Mrs. Hazel MONTGOMERY. Leitchfield, Ky
three brothers:
Wesley ALLEN of McDaniels, Ky
Walter ALLEN of Cecilia, Ky (Hardin County)
the Reverend Oscar ALLEN of Hudson, Ky
5 grandchildren
     The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, March 30, 1978 from the Hudson 
United Methodist Church.  Burial will be in the Hudson Cemetery, under the 
direction of the Watkins Funeral Home, Leitchfield.
