OBITUARY

     Rudell ALLEN, age 104 of Hardinsburg, died Wednesday December 20, 2017 at 
Hardinsburg Nursing and Rehabilitation.  She was born in Hardin County, Ky on 
June 8, 1913, a daughter of the late Sim and Ruth SOUTH BURKHEAD.
     Mrs. ALLEN was a homemaker who had many interests that included gardening. 
canning, sewing, quilting, and cooking.  She was a member of McDaniels Antioch 
United Methodist Church.
     In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by:
her husband, Wesley ALLEN
her son-in-law, David WHITWORTH
seven siblings:
Carlos BURKHEAD
Gilbert BURKHEAD
Archie BURKHEAD
Wilbur BURKHEAD
Russell BURKHEAD
Roy BURKHEAD
Gladys POWELL

Surviving Mrs. ALLEN are:
her daughter:
Betty WHITWORTH of McDaniels
one granddaughter 
one sister:
Lois WRIGHT of Crestwood  (Oldham County)
     Funeral services were held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg on 
Tuesday, December 26, 2017 with burial in the Hudson Cemetery.
