OBITUARY
     Harlan C. ALLEN, age 83, of the Leisure Years Nursing Home in Owensboro, 
died Tuesday, October 2, 1986 at the Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital.  He was 
born in Breckinridge County on November 8, 1902, a son of the late William 
Alfred ALLEN and Willie WELLER NORTON ALLEN.
     Mr. ALLEN was a retired farmer.  He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. 
Mildred BASHAM ALLEN in 1972.  He is survived by:
two sons:
James ALLEN of Hardinsburg, Ky
Everett ALLEN of Webster, Ky
three nephews and one grandson
     Funeral services were held at 3 pm EDT on Sunday, October 5, 1986 from the 
chapel of the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington.  Burial was in the Freedom 
Cemetery near Harned.




Additional Comments:
#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  Location:  Turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Highway KY60.  The church lies east 
of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge; Breckinridge County, Ky.
