OBITUARY  Page 8, Column 1
     Mrs. Letitia ARMES, age 83 of Kingswood, died on Saturday, September 
22, 1979 at Breckinridge Memorial Hospital, Hardinsburg.  Mrs. ARMES was 
born February 22, 1896, the daughter of the late Joe SHREWSBERRY and Belle 
SMITH SHREWSBERRY.  She is survived by:
her husband, Virgil ARMES
two daughters:
Mrs. Anna Helen MERCER of Harned, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Mrs. Ruelma MATTINGLY of Hudson, Ky (Breckinridge County)
three sons:
Floyd ARMES of Kingswood, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Hershel ARMES of Kingswood, Ky
Lester ARMES of Kingswood, Ky
two step-sons:
Walter ARMES of Hardinsburg, Ky
Albert ARMES of Hardinsburg, Ky
30 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren, & 3 great great grandchildren
     Funeral services were held on Monday, September 24, 1979 at the 
Fairview Methodist Church under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home 
in Hardinsburg, and burial followed in the church cemetery.

Additional Comments:
I found a double tombstone for Virgil & Latitia SHREWSBERRY ARMES at the 
Fairview United Methodist Church Cemetery located at SeRee in Breckinridge 
County:
ARMES, Latitia  22 Feb 1896 -- 22 Sep 1979  wife of Virgil
       Virgil   __-___ 1890 -- 29 Dec 1993  husband of Latitia
