OBITUARY

MRS. G. W. ARMES
Westview, July 21 (Special)--Mrs. Martha ARMES passed away at her home here July 
9, 1936.  She was born December 5, 1858, and was married to G. W. ARMES June 7, 
1876.  To this union five children were born, including:
Anderson ARMES
Anna Mae ARMES
Chester ARMES
Clarence ARMES
Maggie LASLIE
Surviving among these are:
Anderson ARMES of Westview, Ky
Mrs. Anna Mae ARMES of Elizabethtown, Ky
Mrs. Maggie LASLIE of Mook, Ky
also surviving is:
her husband, G. W. ARMES
one brother:
Sam ARMES of McDaniels, Ky
five half brothers and one half sister; not named.
     Mrs. ARMES professed faith in Christ at the age of sixteen.  In 1899, she 
united with the Methodist Church, placing her membership with the class at 
Fairview.  She lived a consistent Christian life to the end.  Before she died, 
she said, "I am ready to go, for I have a better home than here".
     She was a loving mother, a faithful wife, and a kind and helpful neighbor.
     The funeral services were conducted by the Reverend F. E. Hardison from the 
church at Fairview, and the interment was in the Fairview Cemetery.

approximately 3 miles east of Westview, on KY 259.
