OBITUARY

VIRGIL ARMES
     Virgil ARMES, a Kingswood centurian, died Wednesday, December 29, 1993, at 
Twin Lakes Regional Medical Center in Leitchfield.  He was 104 years old.  Mr. 
ARMES was born in Breckinridge County, on October 11, 1899, a son of the late 
Joe and Jane LASLIE ARMES.
     He was a member of Fairview United Methodist Church, and a farmer.  He was 
preceded in death by:

Letitia ARMES
one daughter:
Imogene ARMES
two sons:
Albert ARMES
Ray ARMES

Survivors include:
two daughters:
Anna Helen MERCER of Hardinsburg
Rue Elma MATTINGLY of Hudson, Ky
four sons:
Walter ARMES of Hardinsburg, Ky
Floyd ARMES of Harned, Ky
Lester ARMES of Hardned, Ky
Herschel ARMES of Vanzant, Ky
29 grandchildren; 59 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren
     The funeral was held on Saturday, January 1, 1994 at Trent-Dowell Funeral 
Home, Hardinsburg.  Burial in the Fairview Cemetery.
