OBITUARY
Mrs. Jewell Marie ATER, age 66, of Route #2, Leitchfield, Ky in Grayson 
County, died on Tuesday, May 5, 1987, at the Sts. Mary & Elizabeth Hospital, 
Louisville, Ky in Jefferson County, after a lengthy illness.  She was born 
in Breckinridge County on January 5, 1921, a daughter of the late Roy Thomas 
BERRY and Ethel Lee LUCAS BERRY.  Mrs. ATER was preceded in death by her 
husband, Sherman ATER.  Survivors include two nieces and a nephew.
     Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, 1987 at 
the St. Anthony Catholic Church, Axtel with the Reverend William Donaho, 
officiating. Burial was in the Old St. Anthony Cemetery with the Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, in charge of arrangements.








Additional Comments:
Mount Carmel Catholic Church Cemetery is the name of the Old St. Anthony 
Catholic Church burial ground.
