Bassett, 100, of Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation and formerly of Louisville, will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville by the Rev. Robert Long. She died Saturday at Danville Centre for Health and Rehabilitation. Born Dec. 13, 1901, in Breckinridge County, she was a daughter of the late Adam and Cordia Belle Ater Basham. She was a retired seamtress and reweaver from Tweed and Carter. She was a member of Walnut Street Baptist Church in Louisville. She was the widow of Sherlay Bassett. She was predeceased by a son, Harry Bassett. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Clark of Danville; five grand- children; and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be after 5 p.m. Wednesday at Stith Funeral Home and after 1 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven. Pallbearers will be Harold and Ronald Basham, Martin and Brian Bassett, Ron Neal , Jeff Clark and Rob Robinson. Memorials may go to Walnut Street Baptist Church Phase II Renovation Project.
