Norma Jean Bales, 81, formerly of Guston, KY, died
Wednesday December 11, 2013 at Audubon Hospital in
Louisville.
She was born April 10, 1932 to the late John “Rob” & Zelma
Mae Murray. She was a Kentucky Colonel, she taught Sunday
school for over 30 years at Guston Baptist Church.  Norma
was a breast cancer survivor, belong to Modern Woodmen, &
loved animals especially cats.
She is survived by her husband Larry Bales of Louisville; one
son Mark (Debbie) Garverich of Guston, KY, two step
daughters Cindy (Brett) Stockdale of TN, & Terri (Ron) Kopp
of TN; two grandchlidren Kayce (Mark) Ballenger & Andrew
(Lindsey) Garverich; four step grandchildren Brent Scalf, ,
Michaela Stockdale, Ryan & McKenna Kopp.
Funeral services will be held Monday Dec. 16, 2013 at 11 AM
EST at Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington.  Burial will follow
in Louisville Memorial Gardens West in Louisville.
Visitation will be Sunday Dec. 15, 2013 from 2:30 to 6 PM
EST and after 8 AM EST on Monday at the funeral home.
Expressions of sympathy maybe given in the form of
donations to the Guston Baptist Church Building Fund.
