OBITUARY
     Mrs. Rhoda Ann BATES, a 72 year old Hardinsburg resident, died Monday, July 
27, 1987 at the Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital (Ky).  She was born in 
Breckinridge County on November 3, 1914, a daughter of the late William FURROW 
and Jennie TAUL FURROW.  Mrs. BATES is survived by one daughter and one brother.
     Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. today (July 29, 1987) at the Trent-Dowell 
Funeral Home Chapel in Hardinsburg with the Reverend Harry DOOLEY, Pastor of the 
Hardinsburg Baptist Church, officiating.  Burial will follow in the Brickey--Taul 
Cemetery on Highway 992 near Hardinsburg.

(NOTE: Rhoda Ann FURROW BATES is the widow of John Kincheloe BATES)
