OBITUARY
Page 5, Column 3
MISS VEVA BATT DEAD
     Miss Veva BATT, aged 18, died Monday morning, August 1, 1904, at Cannelton, 
Indiana (Perry County), of consumption of the bowels (now known as tuberculosis), 
after a lingering illness.  Her remains will be brought to this city (Cloverport) 
this morning for interment.  The funeral will be conducted from the Baptist 
Church this afternoon.
     Miss Veva was the daughter of Mrs. Statira BATT of Cannelton, Indiana, who 
formerly resided in this city.  Miss Veva is survived by:
her mother
four brothers
one sister, Mrs. Harry MORRISON of Cloverport, Ky

I did not find a tombstone for Miss Veva BATT, but I did find her parents and her 
sister in the Breckinridge County Cemetery Book, volume 1, published in 1991:

BATT, Robert   1853 -- 1891
BATT, Statira  1852 -- 1931
VEVA'S SISTER AND HUSBAND:
MORRISON, Delia S.  1880 -- 1922 "Mother"  wife of G. Harry
          G. Harry  1877 -- 1945 "Father"  husband of Delia S.
There are only the two BATT tombstones in volume 1 cemetery book, and there are 
no BATT burials listed with tombstones in Breckinridge County Cemetery Book, 
volume 2, published in 1997.
