MISS BATT'S FUNERAL
     The funeral of Miss Veva BATT, who died at Cannelton, Indiana (Perry County) 
on August 1, 1904 of consumption of the bowels, was held from the Baptist Church 
in this city last Wednesday afternoon, August 3, 1904, at 3:45 p.m.  The Reverend 
S. O. CHRISTIAN conducted the services.  The remains were brought up from 
Cannelton, Indiana Wednesday morning.  The interment was in the Cloverport city 
cemetery.

The following relatives and friends from a distance attended the funeral:
Mrs. Statira BATT & children, Murray, Chris, and Dock BATT of Cannelton
Mr & Mrs John BATT of Owensboro, Ky (Daviess County)
Mr & Mrs William H. MORTON of Glendeane, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Mrs GUNN and son, William
Misses Lillie & Emma WAGGONER
Ula HOWARD
Pearl ZELLERS
Messrs. Henry REOTGEN, Herman PLOCK, & William ZELLERS of Cannelton, Indiana   

Additional Comments:
I did not find a tombstone for Miss Veva BATT, but I did find her parents in the 
Breckinridge County Cemetery Book, volume 1, published in 1991:
Cloverport Cemetery, Cloverport, Ky
BATT, Robert   1853 -- 1891
      Statira  1852 -- 1931
These are the only two BATT burials with tombstones in volume 1 cemetery book.  I 
did not find any BATT burials with tombstones in the Breckinridge County Cemetery 
Book, volume 2, published in 1997.
Also note:  Glendeane is now spelled Glen Dean, Ky.
