She was born in Harned, Ky in Breckinridge County on March 28, 1928, the daughter of the late Lee and Lester MARR ALEXANDER. Mrs. BEAUCHAMP attended both Lindsey Wilson and Asbury Colleges receiving her B.A. degree from Asbury in 1953. She returned to Breckinridge County where she taught in the school system for 34 years. Upon marriage, Mrs. BEAUCHAMP withdrew her membership at Harned United Methodist Church, and became a member of Sample United Methodist Church, to attend and work with her husband in the church. As a pianist was needed, she was asked to take over, and played for services for approximately 50 years. She is, perhaps best remembered for her glorious singing ability, as music has been a lifelong love. She first sang publically at the age of 4, in a duet with her twin sister at a beauty contest held at the old McGary Theatre on Main Street in Hardinsburg, Ky. She has since rendered her voice to perform for countless weddings, churches, funerals, revivals, and many school functions. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings: Euzada WINN Murray ALEXANDER Morris ALEXANDER Francis ALEXANDER J. L. ALEXANDER Merlene WRIGHT and her twin sister, Jean BLAKEMAN She is survived by: Paul, her husband for 58 years one son one brother Many nieces and nephews and their families Funeral services will be held at Sample United Methodist Church on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. CDT with burial in the Sample Cemetery, under the direction of Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.
