OBITUARY
     John W. BEAVIN, age 74, died Sunday, September 24, 1961 at his home in 
McQuady, Ky (Breckinridge County).
     Mr. BEAVIN was born June 11, 1877 at Glen Dean, Ky (Breckinridge County), 
the son of Anslem BEAVIN and Susan ASKIN BEAVIN.  He was a farmer and a member 
of the St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church in McQuady, Ky.
He is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Mary WEATHERHOLT BEAVIN
one daughter:
Mrs. Susie JOLLY of Louisville, Ky
three sons:
John Francis BEAVIN of Ottawa, Illinois (LaSalle County)
Robert G. BEAVIN of Hardinsburg, Ky (Breckinridge County)
William J. BEAVIN of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)
one sister:
Mrs. Clara E. BEAVIN of McQuady, Ky
4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren
several nieces and nephews
     Funeral services were held on Wednesday, September 27, 1961 from the St. 
Mary of the Woods Catholic Church, and burial was in the Old St. Mary of the 
Woods Cemetery.

Old St. Mary of the Woods Cemetery  The origional burial ground of the present 
St. Mary of the Woods Catholic Church Cemetery.  Located on a gravel road 
referred to as Cemetery Road, in the south western part of Breckinridge 
County.
