OBITUARY  1908 - 2004  Submitted
     Ray Gibson BELL, age 96, of Irvington, Ky., in Breckinridge County, died 
Saturday, October 23, 2004 at his home in Irvington.  He was born May 30, 1908 
in Irvington, a son of the late John Taylor BELL and Mary G, McCOY BELL.  He 
spent his entire life on the farm where he was born.  He was a member of 
Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church; a 56 year member of Bewleyville Masonic 
Lodge #228; a school bus driver for 15 years, and a farmer.
     Mr. BELL served as a Breckinridge County magistrate for 3 terms.  During 
this time the present Courthouse was built as well as the present Breckinridge 
Memorial Hospital, and was on Fiscal Court during the beginning stages of Rough 
River State Park.  Mr. BELL is survived by:
his wife of almost 71 years, Dorothy ADKISSON BELL
three daughters
four sons
13 grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren
He was preceded in death by a son, Harold Allen.
     Funeral services were conducted Tuesday, October 26, 2004 at Freedom 
Church.  Burial was in the Freedom Cemetery under the direction of Alexander 
Funeral Home, Irvington.  Masonic services were conducted by the Reverend Ken 
Lawson, Past Grand Master.

#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery.  Location:  Turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from Highway KY60.  The church lies east 
of the road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge; Breckinridge County, Ky.
