OBITUARY
     Ernest Bell, 73 of Elizabethtown, died Monday, April 29, 1996, at Hardin 
Memorial Hospital in Elizabethtown.  He was a native of Sparta, North Carolina, 
and was a member of the Locust Grove Baptist Church and the Camp Knox Masonic 
Lodge #919 F&AM.  He served in the U.S. Army, and was employed as a mechanic for 
Ft. Knox Civil Service.
Survivors include:
his wife, Jane Wheeler Bell of Elizabethtown
two daughters
one step-daughter
five brothers
four sisters
12 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; one step-great grandchild
     The funeral was held Wednesday, May 1, 1996 at 11 a.m. at Locust Grove 
Baptist Church with the Reverend Otis Weaver and the Reverend Keith Winfree, 
officiating.  Burial was in Kingswood Cemetery in Breckinridge County.  Brown 
Funeral Home in Elizabethtown was in charge of arrangements.
