OBITUARY

ALONZO BENNETT SUMMONED
      ___________

Farner (Farmer) and Merchant, Beloved
Mason, Passes Away at the Age of 74 years
            ________________

Lived at Bewleyville

     Alonzo BENNETT, one of the best known farmers and Merchants of Breckenridge
County, 
died at his home last Wednesday morning about 10 o'clock, after a lingering
illness.
     Mr. BENNETT was seventy-four years of age, and had lived at Bewleyville all his

life.  His work, his kind acts, and good citizenship will live always for they were
so 
genuine and true that death cannot destroy them.  He was a member of the Bewleyville

Masonic Lodge for fifty years.
     The funeral services were impressively conducted by the Reverend B.F. Wilson,
and 
the remains were interred in the Dowell graveyard under the direction of the Masons.
 A 
number of Masons from Custer and Vetrees (Vertrees) participated in the ceremony.
     Besides his wife, he is survived by one sister, Mrs. Harvey BASHAM of Houston,

Texas.
