Her spirit winged its flight at 5 o'clock on the afternoon of the 19th inst., leaving the frail tenement of earth to moulder in the dust. It is written, "Dust thou art, and into dust shalt thou return", Genesis III, 19. Her remains were interred in Highland Cemetery 4 o'clock the following evening witnessed by a large concourse of friends. Her grave was profusely decorated with choice flowers, symbolizing most prophetically the deep-felt sympathy of the heart that words failed to express. Mrs. Berryman was a lady with many friends -- no enemies. Kind to everybody, her demise will be regretted by all who knew her, regardless of relationship. Closely in her wake, driven on by the same disease, follows her daughter, Dolly. It is thought that she will not survive, but a few days, the shock of her mother's death.
