TWO FUNERALS AT CLOVERPORT:
PEARL GARRETT AND LILIAN BISHOP WERE BURIED SATURDAY, JULY 7 -- ILL ONLY A 
SHORT TIME --
Saturday, July 7, 1900 -- was greatly saddened by the occurance of two 
funerals in this city.
     The first was that of Lilian BISHOP, the 4 year old daughter of Mr & Mrs 
John BISHOP who live in the lower part of town.  Lilian was ill of typhoid 
flux only 10 days.
     The second funeral was that of little Pearl GARRETT, 8 year old daughter 
of Mr & Mrs Joe GARRETT, who lives on the hill (in Cloverport).  She was also 
ill but a few days of flux.

BISHOP, Clara Lillian  Jan 6 1896 -- Jul 6 1900  daughter of J. & J.A.
I found a John BISHOP  Aug 2 1865 -- Apr 1 1919 buried here.  I do not know if 
this is Clara Lillian's father, and no tombstone was found for her mother, J. 
A. BISHOP.
