7-YEAR-OLD HUDSON GIRL KILLED WHEN SHE RUNS IN PATH OF PICKUP--
     A Hudson girl was killed Sunday after being struck by a pickup truck at 9:30 
a.m.  Twana Ann BLAIR, age 7, was hit when she ran in front of the 1969 Chevrolet 
driven by Allen Vogelsberg, 71, Louisville.
     According to state police officer, Rudy Carwile, Vogelsberg was traveling 
south on the Centerview--Rough River Road when the accident occurred.  The mother 
of the girl, Mrs. Judy BLAIR, had stopped her car on a side road to let her child 
get out to cross the main road, said Carwile.  He added that Vogelsberg could not 
see the child as she was hidden by the BLAIR vehicle.
     Carwile stated that the girl was taken to the Grayson County Hospital in 
Leitchfield by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert BLAIR and James TUTTLE, also of 
Hudson.  She was pronounced dead on arrival.
     No charges were filed in connection with the accident.
     Twana, born November 21, 1971, in the 2nd grade at Ben Johnson School, and a 
member of Brownie Girl Scout Group.  Surviving her are:

Grandparents:
Riley & Ibbie BLAIR of Hudson, Ky
John & Ailine SKEETERS of Cecilia, Ky
     Funeral services were held on Tuesday, October 23, 1979 from the Coyles 
Cumberland Presbyterian Church near Madrid.  Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery, 
under the direction of the Watkins Funeral Home, Leitchfield.

Vogelsberg told Carwile that he was enroute to his campsite at Rough River to 
"get away from it all", as his granddaughter had recently been killed while 
riding a bicycle in front of his home in Louisville.
