OBITUARY   Page 5

     Hugo Joseph BLAKEMAN, age 68, of Harned in Breckinridge County, died on 
Friday, June 8, 2001 at Norton's Hospital in Louisville, Ky (Jefferson 
County), following a lengthy illness.  Mr. BLAKEMAN was born on November 3, 
1932, in Chicago, Illinois (Cook County).  He was retired from the Chicago 
Police Department, and was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in 
Leitchfield, Ky (Grayson County).  His wife, Mr. Emily BLAKEMAN, preceded him 
in death on December 26, 1999.  Survivors include:
three daughters
two sons
two sisters
two brothers
15 grandchildren
     The funeral was held at 11 a.m. (today) Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at 
Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.  Burial in the Blakeman Cemetery at 
Harned.




Additional Comments:
Blakeman Cemetery at Harned in central Breckinridge County.  To my 
knowledge, there are only two burials here.  Unknown if they have a 
tombstone.
