     Miss Florence Elizabeth "Betty" BLANFORD, age 74, of Irvington in 
Breckinridge County, died at 11:37 p.m. on Wednesday, November 3, 1993, at 
Hardin Memorial Hospital, Elizabethtown, Ky in Hardin County, following a 
lengthy illness.  She was born on October 10, 1919 in Bewleyville, Ky 
(Breckinridge County), a daughter of the late George Overton BLANFORD and 
Florence FOOTE BLANFORD.  She was a private secretary with Commonwealth Land 
Title Insurance Company, in Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County) for 40 years, a 
member of the Irvington United Methodist Church, and Irvington Order of the 
Eastern Star.  Surviving is:
one brother, George BLANFORD of Hardinsburg, Ky
and several nieces and nephews.
     The funeral was held on Saturday, November 6, 1993 from the chapel of the 
Alexnder Funeral Home, Irvington, Ky.  Burial was in the Hardaway-Blanford-
Cain Cemetery near Bewleyville.
