Breckinridge County News; 12/--/1880
DIED.

BLANFORD - Of pneumonia, on the 8th day of December, 1880, at the residence of her
daughter, in Sonora, Hardin county, in the 70th year of her age, Mrs. Jane Blanford,
wife of Uncle George, who is well known to the citizens of Breckenridge county.  The
had been married and lived together 49 years, which is almost a lifetime.  Mrs.
Blanford has been a member of the Methodist church for 47 years, and a large part of
that time she held her membership at Old Mount Zion, but for the last few years at
Bewleyville.  I am informed that she retained her mental faculties until the last,
an was sustained in her dying hours by the assurance of a Savior's love; and after
bidding farewell to her family and friends, and sending messages to those loved and
absent ones, she passed calmly and peacefully from earth to heaven.
