Ruby was a lifelong member of Payneville Baptist Church where she played piano for 64 years. She retired from Fort Knox National Bank, and worked at Beard Studios in Hardinsburg for several years. Ruby loved to quilt, was a member of the Boot Scootin’ Grannies from Meade County Senior Citizens and loved dancing. Ruby also loved her family and was a wonderful Wife, Mother and Grandma. She was born February 5, 1930 to the late Claude Edgar & Eva Mae Payne Dodson. She was preceded in death by her 1st husband Johnnie Curry, Sr., and a brother G.W. Dodson. She is survived by her husband Fred Blankenship; her children Johnnie (Kay) Curry, Jr., of Big Sandy, Tn., Charles Leslie (Trinette) Curry of Louisville, KY., Meda Jo (Kent) Brown of Webster, KY.; sisters Dorothy Huffman of Louisville, Brenda Morgan of Brandenburg; a brother Charlie Dodson of Orlando, FL; 9 grandchildren, & 20 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Tuesday May 9, 2017 at 12 Noon EDT at the Payneville Baptist Church. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery in Irvington. Visitation will be Monday May 8, 2017 at the Alexander Funeral Home in Irvington from 12 Noon to 9 PM EDT and after 9 AM EDT at the Payneville Baptist Church.
