S. BOARD PASSES AWAY Clarence S. BOARD passed away at his home near Garfield in Breckinridge County on Saturday, September 29, 1945 at 11:15 a.m., following a cerebral hemorrhage. Mr. BOARD was the son of Polk and Fannie BOARD. He was 74 years of age, and had lived his entire life, excepting a few months in the parental homestead with his sister, Miss Nancy BOARD. He was a well-known farmer and was outstanding in his knowledge of tobacco and timber, having been connected with both in younger life. Sometime during the past summer he was converted and joined the Cumberland Presbyterian Church at Garfield, where the funeral was held Monday morning, October 1st, conducted by the Reverend Morefield, a life-long friend, assisted by the Reverend Curry. Burial followed in the Moredock Family Cemetery. Besides his sister, he is survived by: one niece: Mrs. Bryan MILLER one great nephew: Bob B. MILLER one great niece: Kate Bryan MILLER three great great nieces, daughters of Bob B. MILLER and Mrs. MILLER. Additional Comments: #0250 Moredock Cemetery, located across the road from Don Carman's residence (owner in 1991); east off Freedom Church Road, off U.S. Highway 60 at Dead Man's Curve, near Garfield in Breckinridge County, Ky.
