OBITUARY
     Walker BOARD, age 84, a retired farmer of Rt.1, Irvington, Ky., in 
Breckinridge County, died Thursday, May 25, 1978 at the Breckinridge Memorial 
Hospital, Hardinsburg, following a short illness.  He was the son of the late Ed 
and Mary JOHNSON BOARD, and was born May 13, 1894 in Breckinridge County.
He is survived by:
his widow, Mrs. Hattie BOARD
two daughters:
Mrs. Ilena PILE of Dyer, Ky
Mrs. Signa HARRINGTON of Hardinsburg, Ky
six sons:
Wilton BOARD of Los Angeles, California
Hayden BOARD of Los Angeles, California
Finley BOARD of Louisville, Ky
Clifford BOARD of Rt.1, Irvington, Ky
Naaman BOARD of Garrett, Ky
Rudy BOARD of Flaherty, Ky
14 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren
     The funeral was at 2 p.m. on Saturday from the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, 
Hardinsburg, with the Reverend Malcomb Couch, Pastor of the Custer United Methodist

Church, officiating.  Burial was in the Horsley Cemetery at Locust Hill.
