Page 1, ACCIDENTAL DEATH
ED BOLING DIED YESTERDAY AFTERNOON

Alvin McGAVOCK 13 years old and his little brother, Hugh 9 years old, were 
playing with a shotgun in a room at the home of their father, Robert McGAVOCK, on 
Patterson Hill, a mile from town (Cloverport, Breckinridge County, Ky.).  Alvin, 
not knowing it was loaded, pulled the trigger of the weapon, and it exploded.  
The load of shot entered BOLING'S breast, inflicting wounds from which he died.  
BOLING came from Brandenburg (Meade County, Ky.).  Mr. BOLING was about 36 years 
of age.  The children were not blamed.

Additional Comments:
I did not find a tombstone for Mr. BOLING in the Breckinridge County Cemeteries, 
volume one, that was published in 1991.
