H. BRASHEAR, formerly one of the leading druggists at Owensboro (Daviess County), Ky., died in that city Monday morning (March 13, 1899) of general debility. He was 53 years old. Mr. BRASHEAR is a native of Brandenburg (Meade County), Ky., where his funeral took place yesterday (March 14, 1899). He was an ex-Confederate soldier serving under Stonewall JACKSON until he lost a leg, and was taken prisoner. On being exchanged and fitted with an artificial limb, he entered the cavalry under LEE, and served until the surrender at Appomattox.
