Page 5, THE NEWS IN BRIEF:
     James YOUNGER went to Hawesville, Ky (Hancock County) yesterday to attend 
the funeral of his uncle, Mr. Edward BRASHEAR.
     Mr. and Mrs. C. M. McGLOTHLAN, Misses Minnie HOYLE and Sue BRASHEAR of Union 
Star, Ky (Breckinridge County), were passengers on yesterday's east bound train 
for Hawesville, Ky.  They went to attend the funeral of Mr. Edward BRASHEAR, a 
citizen of that place, whose death occurred in Louisville Sunday night, May 6, 
1900.
