Mrs. Margaret Bratcher, 55, of Tell City, Indiana, died there Friday, August 5 
(1983).  She was born in Breckinridge County September 22, 1927, a daughter of 
the late Henry Smiley and Dicie Basham Smiley.  Her husband, William Bratcher, 
preceded her in death in May 1983.  Surviving are:
two sons:
William H. Bratcher, Tell City, Indiana
James A. Bratcher, Decatur, Illinois
four sisters:
Mrs. Shirley Bennett, Hardinsburg
Mrs. Nancy Robbins, Warrensburg, Illinois
Mrs. Lucy Strickland, Florida
Mrs. Helen Stone, Fordsville
three brothers:
Eugene Smiley, Irvington
Billy Smiley, Hardinsburg
Milford Smiley, Warrensburg, Illinois
4 grandchildren
Funeral - was held Monday (August 8) from the Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, 
Hardinsburg, with Rev. Jim Voyles, officiating.  Burial was in the Macedonia 
Cemetery.
