OBITUARY

     Iva LeGRANDE BROOKS, of Route one, Leitchfield, Ky died on December 18, 
1978 at the Grayson County Hospital.  She was born in Hardin County, the 
daughter of Steve GREGORY and Alma PIERCE GREGORY, and the wife of the Reverend 
J. B. BROOKS.
     She was a member of the Leitchfield Chapter No. 26 O.E.S. (Order of the 
Eastern Star), and a member of Mt. Vernon Cumberland Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by:
one son:
Stanley LeGRANDE of Louisville, Ky
one daughter:
Angeli dah KING of Elizabethtown, Ky
a step-son:
Joseph BROOKS of Clarkson, Ky
and a son, Claudis LeGRANDE, deceased
8 grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren
     Funeral services were held on December 21, 1978 at the Watkins Chapel, 
Leitchfield.  Interment in Hudson Cemetery.
