OBITUARY
     Mrs. Manuel BROOKS, age 80, died at her home in Louisville, Ky (Jefferson 
County), on Friday, October 13, 1961.
     Before moving to Louisville, Ky years ago, Mr and Mrs BROOKS lived in 
Irvington, Ky (Breckinridge County), where he was a conductor for the L.H. & 
St.L. Railroad Company, later a part of the L.& N. Railroad.  He preceded his 
wife in death several years ago.  Before her marriage Mrs. BROOKS was Miss 
Lucy KIRK.
Surviving Mrs. Brooks are:
one daughter:
Mrs. Hubert (Helen) DONAHEW  (no residence given)
grandchildren:
Mrs. Barbara DONAHEW STENSEN  (no residence given)
Franklin Lyle DONAHEW  (no residence given)
one sister:
Mrs. John WOODRUFF of Eldorado, Illinois (Saline County)
several nieces and nephews
     The funeral was held on Monday, October 16, 1961 from the O. D. WHITE & 
Sons Funeral Home, and burial was in Louisville Memorial Park.

Additional Comments:
I did not find a tombstone for her husband, Manuel BROOKS, in the Breckinridge 
County Cemetery Book, volume one, published in 1991.  He must be buried in 
Louisville, Ky.
