OBITUARY
     Wallace BROWN, age 82, of Woodrow, died on Thursday, January 11, 1968 
at the DeJarnette Nursing Home in Cloverport, Breckinridge County.  He was a 
farmer and a Baptist.  His wife was the late Mrs. Shellie DOWELL BROWN.  He 
is survived by:
one son:
Alton BROWN of Woodrow, Ky (Breckinridge County)
one daughter:
Mrs. Louise WITHERS of Radcliff, Ky (Hardin County)
one granddaughter
     The funeral services were held on Sunday, January 14, 1968 from the 
Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.  Burial was in the Ivy Hill Cemetery.

Julia's death date is not on her tombstone.  (see her death certificate 
information I have posted on this Archives site.)
Julia Anne E. WHITWORTH BROWN died on 29 January 1929.  I believe she had 4 
first and middle names:  Julia Anne Elizabeth ______ WHITWORTH.

I could not find the others who preceded Julia in death.  Her obituary 
states she had four "sons" precede her in death.  It said nothing about 
daughter, Viola.
BROWN, Burrell C.  1878 -- 1950  (30 Dec 1878 -- 21 Dec 1950)
       Bevie       1883 -- 1946  (02 Apr 1882 -- 20 Dec 1946)

The person who transcribed the birth year from Bevie's tombstone, wrote down 
born 1873.  Photo of her tombstone today, shows born 1883.  Looks like it 
was engraved as 1873, and then engraved over the 7 to make an 8, for 1883.
Notice birth year on tombstone is 1883, but her death certificate lists, 
born 1882.
