Myrna Lois Bruington, 74 of Falls of Rough, KY, died 
Monday November 2, 2015 at Brandenburg Nursing & 
Rehab Center in Brandenburg.

She retired as a U.S. Postmaster with 28 years of 
service at Garfield, Axtel, & Falls of Rough. Myrna 
was a passionate pastor’s wife that worked side by 
side with her husband Bro. Don Bruington for many 
years. She was an excellent mother, a lifelong member 
of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church serving in 
several capacities.

Myrna was born April 15, 1941 to the late Fred Bryant 
Layman, Sr. and Reba Tucker Layman. She was preceded 
in death by her sisters Patricia Miller, & Bernice Hall; 
a brother Fred B. Layman, Jr. She is survived by her 
husband Brother Don E. Bruington; her children 
Richard (Darlene) Bruington of Bowling Green, KY, 
Tammy Walters of Cecilia, KY, LaDonna (Robert) Paulson 
of Irvington; 4 grandchildren Jon Bruington, David 
Bruington (girlfriend Sarah and her daughter Nick), 
Shawn(Kaylee) Walters, & Rayanna Duncan; 2 great 
grandchildren Blair, & Harper Grace Bruington.

Funeral services will be held Thursday November 5, 
015 at 12 Noon EST at Alexander Funeral Home in 
Irvington. Burial will follow in Freedom Cemetery.

Visitation will be Wednesday November 4, 2015 from 
4 to 9 PM EST and after 8 AM EST on Thursday at the 
funeral home.
