He was about 71 years of age. He has owned and operated a blacksmith shop in Garfield for a number of years. He was also a fine wood-workman. He is survived by his widow, Mrs. Bessie Kennedy Bruner; three sons, Dallas, Richard, and Enos Bruner; three daughters, Mrs. Thos. Poole, Mrs. Curtis Smith, and Mrs. Ova Horsley; one brother Nathaniel Bruner of Oklahoma; a sister Mrs. George Hook, of Hardinsburg; a half brother, Grover Bruner and a half sister, Mrs. Shellie Oliver, of Garfield. Funeral services were held in the Garfield Cumberland Presbyterian church Sunday afternoon, pastor of the Irvington Cumberland Presbyterian church assisted by Rev. C. F. Comstock, pastor of the Garfield Baptist church. Interment followed in the Bruner cemetery, near Garfield. R. T. Dowell was the undertaker in charge.
