Mrs. Conrad Bruner departed this life November 19th, and was interred in The Bruner Cemetery the following day. The deceased was an aged lady and had reared a large family of girls and boys now grown to manhood and womanhood. Mr. Conrad Bruner died a few years since, and they are now sleeping side by side. It is useless to offer condolence to those bereaved children as we know their sorrow is one that only time can assuage. They have indeed lost their best friend, and one that always proved true. But you surely would not wish her to remain here always. You would not deny nor take from her the peace she is now enjoying. She had completed her life's work, fulfilled her earthly requirements, and we trust heard in soft accents, the words of the loving Saviour saying, "Well Done". As we stood viewing the last and obsequies at the cemetery, the thought struck me, "who will be the next". One by one we are passing over, and we know not what hour we may be called. It behooves us all therefore to be prepared, and to have our lamps trimmed and brightly burning.
