OBITUARY

     Mrs. Ersia BURDEN, age 82 of Hudson, Ky in Breckinridge County, died on 
Wednesday, February 12, 1992, at the Owensboro-Daviess County Hospital in 
Owensboro.  Mrs. BURDEN was born in Breckinridge County on February 29, 1909, a 
daughter of the late James Robert and Cora DOCKERY SMITH.  She was preceded in 
death by her husband, John, in 1973.  Survivors include:
two daughters
five sons
four brothers:
Russell SMITH of Louisville, Ky
Hilbert SMITH of Louisville, Ky
Estill SMITH of Louisville, Ky
Billy SMITH of Louisville, Ky
30 grandchildren; 31 great grandchildren
     The funeral was held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 15, 1992, at Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg.  Burial was in the Hudson Cemetery.
