OBITUARY

ROBERT JOHN BURDEN  1934 - 2015
     Robert John BURDEN, age 81, of Hudson, Ky., in Breckinridge County, died on 
Monday July 27, 2015 at his residence.  He was born in Hardinsburg, Breckinridge 
County on March 29, 1934, a son of the late John Wesley and Ersie Mae SMITH 
BURDEN.
     Robert was a retired heavy equipment operator who worked for the 
Breckinridge County Road Department and Kentucky State Highway Department.  He 
was an outdoors man who enjoyed farming, horses, and spending time with his 
grandchildren.  He could carry on a conversation with anyone and loved to trade 
and barter.  He was a former member of the Polled Hereford Association and held a 
lifetime membership with the Belgian Horse Association.
     He was preceded in death by:
two brothers:
Clifton BURDEN
Joe BURDEN
     Mr. BURDEN is survived by:
his wife, Gladys ARMES BURDEN of Hudson, Ky
one daughter 
one son
6 grandchildren; one step-granddaughter; 5 great grandchildren;
2 step-great grandchildren
two sisters
2 brothers
     Funeral services will be held at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg on 
Friday, July 31, 2015 at 1 p.m. with burial in the Hudson Cemetery.
