Burks Dies at Home of Daughter In This City ------- Mrs. Eliza S. Burks, widow of the late John Burks, died Tuesday a. m., at 1:05 o'clock, at the home of her daughter, Mrs. William G. Barrett, 1219 South Anne street, of Bright's disease, after an illness of several months. Mrs. Burks, who was a member of a prominent family member of a prominent and leading family of Breckenridge county, was 78 years old, and for some years had spent part of her time in Louisville, and the remainder at her old home at Addison. She was well known and esteemed in Owensboro, where she had often visited before coming in the early fall to reside with her daughter. She was a lifelong member of the Episcopal church, being a communicant of St. Paul's Episcopal church, Louisville. Besides Mrs. Barrett, Mrs. Burks leaves two other children, Mrs. Matilda B. Tyler and Mr. John Burks of Louisville. The remains were taken to Addison Wednesday morning on the 8:35 L., H. and St. L. train, and the interment took place Wednesday afternoon, in the family burial ground at that place.
