OBITUARY

     Carl Edward BUTLER, age 60, of Route 2, Leitchfield, Ky in Grayson County, died
on 
Tuesday, October 4, 1988, at his home.  Mr. BUTLER was born in Whiting, Indiana
(Lake 
County), on September 27, 1928, the son of the late Frank and Maggie CAHILL BUTLER. 
He 
was a farmer and carpenter.  His wife, Mrs. Edith LUCAS BUTLER, preceded him in
death.
He is survived by:
three daughters:
Mrs. Shirley Faye VESSELS of Brownsville, Ky (Edmonson County)
Mrs. Doris Jean HAZELWOOD of Hudson, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Mrs. Beverly Gale CHILDRESS of Leitchfield, Ky
two sons:
Walter Lucas BUTLER of Leitchfield, Ky
Edward Franklin BUTLER of Leitchfield, Ky
two sisters:
Mrs. Agnes WOOD of Greenville, Ky (Muhlenberg County)
Mrs. Freda HAIR of Reed, Ky (Henderson County)
two brothers:
Stoy BUTLER of Hartford, Ky (Ohio County)
R. A. BUTLER of Utica, Ky (Daviess County)
4 grandchildren
     Funeral services were held on Friday, October 7, 1988 from the chapel of the
Watkins 
Funeral Home in Leitchfield, Ky.  Burial was in the Calvert Cemetery in Breckinridge

County.
