OBITUARY   --Submitted--
     CAROLYN HAYNES BUTLER
Carolyn BUTLER, age 58, of Bloomington, (Illinois), died on September 3, 2004 at 
Bloomington Hospital.  She was born February 18, 1946 in Harned, Ky in 
Breckinridge County, the daughter of Morris and Margaret LeGRAND HAYNES.
     Carolyn's occupations in life were many.  She was a devoted wife, mother, and 
grandmother.  She was a teacher to many, both children and adults.  She was a 
member of Arlington United Methodist Church, where she actively volunteered.
     Carolyn was a very special person who fulfilled many roles in the lives of 
those who loved her.  Her joys in life were spending time with her children and 
grandson, and working with her husband building and gardening.
She is survived by:
her husband of 39 years, Leonard R. BUTLER
one son
one daughter
one grandson
her foster sister/special niece
five sisters
three brothers
many nieces, nephews, Cousins, and close friends.

She was preceded in death by:
two brothers:
Calvin Blanford HAYNES
Ernie HAYNES
one sister, Ella M. POTTS
foster Mother/Sister-in-Law, Peggy BOUCHER
     Arrangements are being made by "Nathan Butler Funeral Home".  The funeral 
services and burial will be at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2004 at Freedom 
Church.


Additional Comments:
#0139 Freedom Cumberland Presbyterian Church Cemetery; Location:  turn north 
immediately west of "Dead Man's Curve" from KY 60.  The church lies east of the 
road, and is blocked from view by a low ridge, in Breckinridge County, Ky.
