Dorothy Dawson Butler, age 89 of Harned, KY died Thursday, 11-5-2009 at 
Kindred Hospital in Louisville, KY. She was born in Cloverport, KY on 6-8-
1920, the daughter of the late Joe and Wanda Carlisle Dawson. Dorothy was a 
member of Harned United Methodist Church, she enjoyed sewing and quilting and 
she retired from Gladson's Department Store.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Butler in 2001 and her sister 
Margaret Gentry.
 
Dorothy is survived by her 3 sons and daughters-in-law: Robert and Brenda 
Butler of Dyer, KY
Leonard and Susan Butler of Bloomington,IN
Keith and Barbara Butler of Harned, KY
5 grandchildren: Jill, Adam, Jarad, Nathan and Shelley
3 great grandchildren: Caleb, Madison and Trey
 
Funeral services will be held on Sunday, 11-8-2009 at 1PM at Harned United 
Methodist Church with Rev. Janet Carden officiating. Burial will be in the 
Harned Cemetery. Visitation at Trent-Dowell Funeral Home on Saturday 4-8PM and 
after 10AM Sunday.
