Samuel White “Sammy” Carden, 68, passed away 
Friday April 28, 2017 at Hardin Memorial Hospital 
in E-town.

He was born March 22, 1949 to the late Samuel 
Benton & Virginia Mercer Carden. He was preceded 
in death by his In-laws: Willis & Elsie Mills, 
& a nephew John Matthew Carden.
He is survived by his wife Sandra Faye Carden; 
two daughters Sarah (Dewey) Dever, & Stephanie 
(Will) Mitchell; his grandchildren Dakota & 
Dylan Dever; a sister Ouida (Ed) Squire; a brother 
Timmy (Janet) Carden; a brother-in-law Kevin 
(Gail) Mills; Nieces & Nephews Zachary & Kaley 
Mills, Lora (Dan) Grant, Peter (Brooke) Squire, 
Marietta Squire, & Andrea Carden; also a great 
niece Lydia Simpson.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 3, 
2017 at 2 PM EDT at Alexander Funeral Home. Burial 
will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Visitation will be Tuesday May 2, 2017 from 3 to 
9 PM EDT and after 9 AM EDT on Wednesday at the 
funeral home.
