OBITUARY  Page 8, Column 1
     Willard P. CARMAN, age 62, died Friday, May 18, 1979 at his residence 
at Star Route Cloverport, following a lengthy illness.  Mr. CARMAN was born 
April 15, 1917, a son of the late William H. and Emma LUCAS CARMAN.  He is a 
retired employee of the Brown & Williamson Tobacco Company, Louisville, Ky 
in Jefferson County, and a World War II Veteran.  He is survived by:
his wife, Mrs. Alliene NOTTINGHAM CARMAN
two daughters:
Mrs. Sherry Gyla HAYCRAFT of Hardinsburg, Ky
Susan CARMAN of Cloverport, Ky (Breckinridge County)
four sons:
Gary CARMAN of Juneau, Alaska
Bobby CARMAN of Hardinsburg, Ky
Norman CARMAN of Cloverport, Ky
Joey CARMAN of Cloverport, Ky
four sisters:
Mrs. Genevie BASHAM of Hardinsburg, Ky
Mrs. Margarine ELLIOTT of Hudson, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Mrs. Anna PILE of Roff, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Janie CARMAN of Cloverport, Ky
three brothers:
Chester CARMAN of Louisville, Ky (Jefferson County)
Homer CARMAN of Harned, Ky (Breckinridge County)
Carlie CARMAN of Harned, ky
11 grandchildren
     Funeral services were held on Tuesday, May 22, 1979 from the Trent-
Dowell Funeral Home, Hardinsburg, and burial was in Fairview Cemetery.
